Bringing Baby Home - Parents Workshop

Young Parents with Baby

One of the greatest gifts you can give your children is a strong relationship between each of you.

It’s easy for first time parents to become immersed in their baby’s world.

One of the greatest gifts you can give your children is a strong, loving relationship between you and your partner. As exciting as it is to welcome a baby into your life, it’s easy for first-time parents to become immersed in the baby’s world, often overlooking the emotional connection between each other.

Did you know that 67% of couples experience a decline in relationship quality during the first three years of their baby's life? But don’t worry – you can avoid this! A healthy relationship between partners is essential for your child's development, and we're here to help.

Introducing the new Bringing Baby Home (BBH) Workshop, developed by renowned relationship and parenting experts Drs. John and Julie Gottman. This research-based, psychoeducational workshop is dedicated to improving the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening the emotional bond between parents. Whether as an individual couple or in a group setting, you’ll engage in presentations, exercises, and discussions designed to help you build a healthier relationship.

You and your partner will learn to:

Strengthen your friendship
Increase intimacy and affection
Work through conflict with greater ease
Maintain relationship satisfaction
Reduce hostility
Create positive parent-child interactions
To develop sensitive, responsive parenting tactics.
Ensure quality involvement for both parents
Reduce the incidence or severity of postpartum mood disorders

Not only will this program teach you what to expect during the transition to parenthood, it will also help you:

Better understand child development
Create co-parenting strategies with your partner
Improve the way you and your partner communicate, connect, and compromise
Recognize signs of postpartum mood disorders and gain awareness of treatment options
